Trains to and from Paris Orly Airport (ORY)

Orly Airport is located near to Anthony Station on the RER B train line this is accessible by the Orlyval, an unmanned rail service between Orly Airport and Anthony Station. The RER line B or Rapid Transport System of Paris is one of 5 RER lines A, B, C, D and E serving Paris and the suburbs. This line covers 50 miles of track and runs from Aéroport Charles de Gaulle (B3) and Mitry-Claye (B5) in the north of Paris to Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse (B4) and Robinson (B2). Popular Station on the line include Gare du Nord one of six major stations in Paris and also a TGV high speed rail terminals, St Michel – Notre Dame translates to "Our Lady" below one of Paris’s first gothic cathedrals and Châtelet – Les Halles home to the largest underground/subway station in the world.

Paris Orly ADP shuttle and RER C

The ADP shuttle service runs between Paris Orly Airport and Pont de Rungis-Aéroport d'Orly Station this is on the RER line C. The service goes from south of the City to the north and west of Paris. The line is approximately 110 miles in length and passes through many stations including St Michel – Notre Dame, Invalides, Pont de l’Alma, Champs de Mars-Tour Eiffel and Musée d’Orsay. Tickets for RER A, B, C, D, E and Metro

The Paris "underground" or "Subway" is really 2 systems, the Paris metro system consisting of 14 lines numbered 1 to 14 and the RER system which has 5 lines A, B , C , D and E. There are many ticket options for travelling on the Paris RER and Metro system, the most popular are the "Mobilis" pass and the "Visitie" pass.

Individual tickets

These can be purchased for downtown and valid in Zone 1 and 2 these are price at 1.50€ each or a pack of 10 (carnet) for 11.10€. Children aged between 4 and 11 can purchase a (carnet) for 5.55€.

Mobilis

These 1 day passes are available for travel on most forms of transport in the city, Metro, RATP, bus and SNCF suburban lines. These are available from all station, the price of these tickets is based on zones a zone 1 -3 is 7.50€.

Paris Visite Pass

These passes are available for 1, 2, 3 and 5 days and allow for unlimited travel on the entire RATP network. The benefit of this pass is that you can travel all over the network as far as Disneyland Pass and they all allow you to receive discounts at the many of the Museums in Paris. Prices of these tickets are according again to zones and there again is a discount for children between 4 and 11 years of age.

Paris Carte Orange Pass

These passes used to be a paper card but have now been replaced by a contact less smart card. With the Carte Orange Hebdomadaire you can travel as much as you like for 1 week. You will need to first purchase a "Passe Navigo Découverte" for a current cost of 5€ (2008) this lasts 10 years and can be refilled with credit as many times as you like. You will then load your Carte Orange on to this card. Please be aware that the week starts from Monday through Sunday. You will need a passport size photo for your card and write your surname name first name on it also. The cards are available at all Paris Stations from ticket booths and can be credited at ticket booths by credit card or cash. There is a “Passe Navigo” card also just to confuse matters but this is a card for Parisian residents and is posted to a mailing address. Please see below current prices.
